Second Nature is a privately owned retail store owned and operated by clinical herbalist, Elaine Kilgannon. We are celebrating our 11th year of business by introducing our new website where you will be able to shop for all of your favorite items, research health-related topics, and stay informed of upcoming store events and specials. At Second Nature we encourage a holistic approach to wellness and healing. We offer a large selection of quality products as well as excellent service from a knowledgeable staff. We also provide educational literature and other materials that enable our customers to make better, more informed purchases. Meet Our Staff
Clinical Herbalist/Proprietress Elaine Kilgannon
-- Elaine is a successful storeowner of 14 years. She is a graduate of Herbal Therapeutics School 2-year course and a one year graduate program. She has lived the "natural" lifestyle since the late 1970‘s and continuously studies the many areas and trends the natural food/medicine movement, attending various seminars and classes. Elaine‘s passion and dedication to every individual‘s right to health and wellness are a major component of Second Nature‘s success.
"I started working at Second Nature in April 2008. I first walked into the store with little knowledge of the organic food and supplement world. A few months into working at the store, I had converted entirely to eating nothing but an organic diet after noticing how much better I looked and felt. Now I've been working here for over a year and am healthier than ever before. I plan on working for the next few years and then going to law school."
Store Associate Phyllis
-- Phyllis has been a long time customer of Second Nature and can't remember when she was not interested in herbs. She had her first herb garden at 16 years old. She is currently enrolled in David Winston's Center for Herbal Studies 2 year herbalist training program with the Herbal Therapeutics, Inc. School of Botanical Medicine. She looks forward to meeting and helping all of our customers.
